EurOMA 2022

This past weekend The European Operations Management Association (EurOMA) held their 29th International Annual Conference. The conference took place in Berlin on the 1st - 6th July 2022, with the theme being ”Brilliance in resilience: operations and supply chain management’s role in achieving a sustainable future.”  The conference was hosted by the University of Sussex Business School at the beautiful Estrel Hotel Berlin.

JSCM participated in a number of events across the conference including: a publishing workshop, the young scholars workshop and a meet the editors panel.  There was also a special session that JSCM hosted to launch the 2023 JSCM Emerging Discourse Incubator entitled “Radical Innovations and Extreme Disruption” https://www.journalofsupplychainmanagement.com/new-blog/call-for-papers-edi-2022-radical-innovations-and-extreme-disruptions-how-could-a-firm-thrive-from-the-co-evolution-of-the-two1  The editors also attended many other sessions and noted the high quality of the research presentations and lively discussions in each room.

We took time at the conference to thank Mark Pagell for his many years of service to the Journal.  His final day as EIC was July 1.  We also welcomed our newest editor, Andreas Wieland.
