JSCM appoints new Co-Editors in Chief
We are excited to announce that Dr. Tingting Yan and Dr. Wendy Tate have been selected as new Co-Editors of the Journal of Supply Chain Management. Tingting will replace Dr. Barb Flynn whose term as editor ends on July 1, 2021 and Wendy will replace Dr. Mark Pagell whose term ends on July 1, 2022. As per JSCM’s governance model of replacing one editor each year, they will work with continuing Co-Editors Dr. David Cantor and Dr. Mark Pagell.
The Journal of Supply Chain Management would like to thank Co-Editor Dr. Barb Flynn for her outstanding leadership and service to the journal. As Co-Editor, Dr. Flynn continued to elevate the stature of the Journal in many ways. She led several transformations at JSCM including an Emerging Discourse Incubator (EDI) on Emerging Approaches for Developing SCM Theory.
JSCM would also like to thank Dr. Lisa Ellram, Dr. Christine Harland, and the JSCM Co-Editor search committee members for their service to the Journal. They received many outstanding nominations for the Co-Editor positions.
Tingting Yan is a professor in the Marketing and Global Supply Chain department at Wayne State University. Her research interests are in areas of supplier innovation and supply network, which focus on answering one question: “How could a firm better innovate by managing its supply network as well as understanding its suppliers’ extended networks” She serves as an associate editor for Journal of Operations Management and Journal of Supply Chain Management, and an Editorial Board reviewer for Decision Science and Journal of Business Logistics. She is frequently recognized by top journals as best associate editor or reviewer. Her work has been published in Journal of Operations Management, Decision Sciences, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, etc
Wendy Tate, Ph.D. (Arizona State University, 2006) is the William J. Taylor Professor of Business and the Cheryl Massingale Faculty Research Fellow in the Department of Supply Chain Management at the University of Tennessee. She teaches undergraduate, MBA, PhD and Executive students Strategic Sourcing and has an interest in the financial impacts of business decisions across the supply chain. She has published research on Strategic Sourcing and Sustainability in top tier academic journals including the Journal of Operations Management, California Management Review, and Journal of Business Logistics and others. She currently serves as co-editor in chief for the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management.
