Virtual publishing workshop: Replication Research using Open Science & Registered Reports recap
On September 22, 2021 JSCM hosted a Virtual Publishing workshop.
This session had three overarching goals. The first was to discuss why supply chain researchers need to do more replication research as well as why there are currently no incentives to do such research. The second was to introduce registered reports as a means to change the incentive structure to encourage replication research. Finally, we discussed JSCM’s plans to begin considering replication studies for publication using the registered report process, rather than the conventional review process.
A collection of short conversations where leading SCM scholars talk about replicating their own work can be found here.
